It’s that time of the week already, and I couldn’t be more excited for this week’s delicious edition of the Quick Hits! We just bought a MASSIVE Coca-Cola collection, and the goodies were endless. We’ve got pretty much every household item you can imagine in the famous Coke red. You’d think you were at the World Of Coke – which only happens to be about a forty minute drive to Atlanta from Trainz.com.
If you’re wanting more info about the World of Coke and the history of Coca-Cola – Lucy Hickey has a great in depth article touching on Coca-Cola’s beginnings and rise to global prominence.
As I’ve gotten older, I don’t get to enjoy Coca-Cola as much as I’d like – but I won’t lie, after sorting through this collection I may have had more than just a sip of my girlfriend’s at dinner the other night. Let’s pop a couple of bottles as we dive right into the Coke collection at Trainz.com.
Coca-Cola Assorted Ornaments
With the holidays quickly approaching, and I mean quickly – it feels like November just started but here we are at Thanksgiving - I figured I’d introduce some of the many Coca-Cola Christmas ornaments we have in stock. Decorating the Christmas tree is one of my favorite things to do during the holiday season, and as a kid I was always sure to find a spot for my favorite little polar bear clutching his ice cold bottle of Coca-Cola. Fast-forward 20 years later, and yes I still have that little polar bear to this day. Coca-Cola was the drink of choice in our household growing up, so it came as no surprise that we nabbed a few Coca-Cola ornaments for our family tree.
The best part about our Coca-Cola ornaments is the fun variety you’ll get with each bundle. We’ve got Coca-Cola nutcrackers, Coca-Cola die-cast ornaments, Coca-Cola stockings, and so many more thirst quenching products! I’ve got a listing you can check out here that’ll provide a great visual reference for what’s included in our Coca-Cola ornament bundles. Check out Trainz.com for our full inventory of Coca-Cola ornaments – I might even go find a buddy for my little polar bear.

Coca-Cola Assorted Memorabilia
Ok, so maybe you’ve got enough on your tree, and now it’s time to focus on those stockings! One of my coworkers, Taylor, stirred up some of her awesome creativity and whipped up these great Coca-Cola stocking stuffer bundles. Everybody likes a full stocking, and Trainz.com is here to help fill them. We’ve got neat assortments that feature a variety of household items ranging from Coca-Cola dry-erase boards to Coca-Cola trading cards. Each bundle comes in a fun “ice cold” Coca-Cola bucket, and is the perfect little gift basket for all lovers and collectors of Coca-Cola.
Here’s a fun Coca-Cola fact – did you know that in 2004 Mexico was the largest consumer of Coca-Cola in the entire world!? I only know that because of the Guinness Book of World Records my mom bought me at the school book fair almost 20 years ago. I just had to throw in that little tidbit there. You can check out the Coca-Cola bundle here, and if you like what you see I’ve got plenty more Coca-Cola gift baskets available over on our website!

Lionel 6-30166 O Gauge Coca-Cola 125th Anniversary Vintage Steam Train Set
It’s time we get into some Coca-Cola trains, and what better way than to do that with a celebration? That’s right, the masters of licensing cool stuff on trains are back with a set 125 years in the making. The Lionel Coca-Cola 125th Anniversary set (model # 6-30166) is a ready to run set last featured in the 2012 edition of Lionel’s Big Book. To my knowledge this set hasn’t been featured in any recent catalogs, meaning we probably won’t see anything until the 150th anniversary. The locomotive comes with everything you need from a powerful motor to haul those delicious soda-filled freight cars to TrainSounds so you’re not lacking in realism during operation. This Coca-Cola O gauge set also happens to come in a nice red and green paint scheme that fits in perfectly with the Christmas season. I’ve got the set listing here, and tons more Coca-Cola O gauge products and Coca-Cola train sets on our website!

LGB 72510 Coca-Cola "Red Trunk" Christmas G Gauge Steam Train Set
All right, I'm going for a 2-for-1 deal here and I couldn’t leave this special Coca-Cola G-Scale off of the list. Unlike the previously mentioned O Gauge Coca-Cola set, this G-Scale set from LGB is specifically tailored for the holiday season. The locomotive and the freight cars are painted in that beautiful “Coca-Cola” red with snow and Christmas lights painted on each item. Look at the gondola included, it comes with that iconic Coca-Cola polar bear catching a ride on the Coca-Cola express.
But what makes this “Red Trunk” special? I’m so glad you asked! The picture you see above is the set with the original LGB box. The entire set actually comes delivered in this beautiful red trunk (you see pictured below) with the Coca-Cola logo on the lid. It's a simple presentation for a grand delivery, something Coca-Cola seems to understand pretty well. You can check out the listing here if you’re interested in the Red Trunk set from LGB. And, just so you’re never thirsty again, I’ve got plenty more G-Scale Coca-Cola trains and rolling stock on our website!

Coca-Cola Town Village Square Pick-A-Pet Shop
Let’s get ready for the accessory pick! I hope you’re not allergic to animal fur because this one has lots of it. Ok, not seriously because this is a ceramic building, but it’s fun to pretend. This Pick-a-Pet pet store from the Coca-Cola Town Village collection is a retired model that’s not seen a re-release for a long time now.
So why the pet store? The answer is simple – pure childhood nostalgia. I have fond memories of the day my mom brought home a cat and a dog during the holiday for me and my younger sister. Lady (the dog) and Kitty (obviously the cat) would be part of our family for well over a decade before they both eventually passed away. Now and again I look back to that morning, and can’t help but feel the warmth of that memory..
The pet shop is versatile in the sense that it’s a great Christmas village addition, and a really unique potential layout building at the same time. But don’t just let my words sway you – think back to some of your favorite childhood pets. Wasn’t it magical being able to spend the holidays with them too? I’ve got the listing for this Coca-Cola pet shop here, and so many more Coca-Cola buildings to choose from in our Coca-Cola catalog.

LGB 42911 Coca-Cola "Always the Real Thing"
The budget pick is in, and it looks like this one is for the G-Scale faithful out there. “Always the Real Thing” is an understatement because there’s nothing out there that matches Coke’s flavor. No, I’m not saying that because I’m from Atlanta, and have a hometown affinity for the brand. Coca-Cola is king, and the rest of the sodas are welcome in the royal court – just never on the throne. This beautifully designed Coca-Cola G-Scale boxcar showcases that vintage Coca-Cola look and combines it with modern manufacturing.
I’m happy to see that LGB shares our love for Coca-Cola with this car being one of many pieces of G-Scale Coca-Cola rolling stock we have in our inventory. I think it’s a great holiday piece that can easily transition out of Christmas mode and into a regular layout once the holidays are wrapped up. I’ve got the listing for the Coca-Cola boxcar here, and plenty more Coca-Cola trains back at home base too!
