This is a Kato USA Inc 148021 N Scale Centram Light Rail Vehicle LRV Streetcar w/Interior Light - Standard DC 9001 (white). The Toyamako line in Toyama, Japan, was converted to a Light Rail transit system in 2006, bringing with it an opportunity for the introduction of an all new light rail street car system for servicing the costal city. These light rail cars, built through joint efforts of Bombardier Transportation and Niigata Transys, are modern, low floor (no step up) street cars which are capable of running on both light rail street tracks and main line heavy rail. Model Features: •Specially designed fully-powered truck system allows a fully detailed interior without any intruding wires or mechanical components. •These articulated Light Rail Vehicles can operate on extremely tight radii, such as those used with the Kato UNITRAM system or Compact Unitrack tracks.•Both Portram and Centram Light Rail vehicles feature directional lighting and signboards with alternate light patterns for both the front and rear of the car. •Interior lighting is built-in to the light rail cars to illuminate the interior of both cabins.•Articulated pantographs can be positioned at variable heights. •All Toyama light rail vehicles can be operated on both UNITRAM street track as well as basic Kato Unitrack and operated off of a basic Kato power pack, and do not require special track or equipment.*
