SPECIAL ORDER
First flown in 1984, the J-8IIB improved upon the J-8I prototype with redesigned nose/front section and fuselage. Also the nose air inlet was replaced with solid nose and lateral air intakes. The Chinese owned many Soviet-made aircraft such as the Mig-23 and Mig 21 and incorporated many of the features of those aircraft into their domestically produced J-8IIB. Kit consists of over 330 parts on 12 sprues with a finely detailed cockpit and gear cabin. Plenty of external loads are included.
